What is the best way to burn a candle? Believe it or not, there's a definite strategy to burning candles! Your first burn is perhaps, the most important one. It will train your candle how to burn on all subsequent burns. Thus, it's best to burn your candle for 3-4 hours or until you get the widest ring possible before the melted wax reaches the edge of the candle. Now, if only training the dog were that easy. How long will my Kalola Candle burn? Well, that depends on it's size, of course! Click here for our handy-dandy size chart which details all of our available sizes and their approximate burn times. Our biggest candle burns for 350 hours - or the rest of your life - which ever comes first. Do Kalola candles drip? No way! We don't believe in messy candles! As long as you keep your wick properly trimmed, your candle out of a draft and on a level surface, it will not drip. How come my candle smokes? By George, your wick needs to be trimmed! 1/4" is the ideal length for your wick. Do Kalola wicks contain lead? Nope. All of our wicks are 100% lead-free! But you can always snack on some old paint chips if you need. Where are Kalola Candles made? Right here, in the good ole US of A of course. We're a rare breed these days! All Kalola products are hand-made in Sunny Southern California. I love the looks of Kalola candles, but I am sensitive to fragrances. Do you make any unscented candles? Since all of our candles are poured as ordered - we have a lot of flexibility! Either ask your local retailer to place a custom order for you or call us directly. We'd be happy to make unscented candles for you - they're such a hard thing to find in this stinky world, after all. Do you have any extras, over-runs, or blemished candles for sale? The truth comes out! We're all human and since our candles are all hand-made by humans - mistakes are sometimes made. From time to time we mix the wrong color and scent. Other times we pour more than we needed on a custom order. And sometimes, even sometimes, we discontinue a product from our line and have some left-overs. Thus, if you're interested, it never hurts to give us a call and see what we've got on the shelf. This is about the only inventory we stock - special pricing, just for you! I love my Kalola candles, but can't seem to find a store near me that carries them! What to do what to do? Can I order directly from you? But of course. We wouldn't want you be deprived of your Kalola fix. Give us a call or drop us a line and we'd be happy to help! What's up with the cool packaging on your soaps? Hey, that ain't just cool packaging, that's part of the deal yo! When you bring your new fancy soap home from the store, simply take it out of the exterior all-natural Abaca bag (aka cool packaging), remove the plastic wrapping and return your soap to it's home in the Abaca bag for use. Can you think of a better exfoliant? We think not. Hang dry for longest use and enjoy! Does Kalola soap contain any sodium laureth sulfate? No way! We're all-natural man. No itching for you - just good clean fun! Our soaps are made from vegetable glycerin, pure essential oils and the mineral mica for a bit of sparkle. If we haven't sufficiently answered your questions here, please do drop us a line or give us a call and we'll get back to you lickety-split!
